The following weekend we tried again, and this time we made it to Odaesan National Park... The Land of 10,000 Budhas.
Paul and Laura Lorenson in front of the pagoda of the Woljeong-sa Temple.
Architecture typical of the Korean Budhist temples.
This part of the park reminded me a little of Zion National Park with trees. We hiked to a waterfall that was so tall that it was impossible to get into a picture. It had three tiers, and we hiked to each one. This was a beautiful day with terrific company, and was even worth braving the infamous traffic getting back into Seoul (a two hour trip turned into four, which we learned on later trips was actually a good night).
